The Brooklyn City F.C. women's first team will represent Brooklyn and NYC women's soccer on a national level, while also providing a pinnacle to the Brooklyn City F.C. female player development path. The team reflects our comprehensive commitment to girls' and women's soccer.
The team will compete in the East division of United Women's Soccer, a national second-tier league for competitive female players, including college players, aspiring and former professionals, and international stars. The United Women's Soccer league season runs from May through July, culminating in a national playoff and championship match.
The team's coaching staff will be led by Head Coach Kim Wyant, current head coach of the NYU men's soccer team. Wyant has vast coaching experience with high-level women's programs, most recently coaching teams at NYAC and Long Island Lady Riders. Wyant is also a former goalkeeper with the US women's national team. Coach Wyant is currently working with the club, to build out our 2021 coaching staff, with more details to be announced in the immediate future.
Amy Marron will serve as assistant coach, working closely with Coach Wyant. Marron is currently an assistant coach with the St John's University women's soccer team, and a former player in the UWS.
Home games will be played in Brooklyn, NY, at locations to be announced shortly. The team will train weekly in Brooklyn.
