The Brooklyn City F.C. women's first team represents Brooklyn and NYC women's soccer on a national level, while also providing a pinnacle to the Brooklyn City F.C. female player development path. The team reflects our comprehensive commitment to girls' and women's soccer.
NYMWSL (Sept to June)
Our women's team continues with its 3rd season in NYMWSL, with ongoing trials open to any interested players. The club enjoys a strong foundation and player pool via multiple seasons in semi-pro summer leagues (WPSL, WPSL Div 2), as well as prior seasons in local 9v9 leagues.
We're proud to continue to offer the opportunity for our local post-college / non-college players to be able to play and represent the club on a year-round basis.
The NYMWSL features a NYC-based club community, with multiple divisions, based on competitive level. League matches are held on weekends (generally Sundays), and the BCFC team trains on weekday evenings in Brooklyn.
WPSL/ WPSL ll (May / June / July)
The Brooklyn City F.C. women's team competes in the Metropolitan division of the Women's Premier Soccer League, a national pro-am league for competitive female players, including college players, aspiring and former professionals, and international stars. The WPSL and WPSL ll season runs from late May through July, culminating in a regional and national playoff tournament.
The teams' coaching staff is led by Head Coach Kim Wyant, also current head coach of the NYU men's soccer team. Wyant has vast coaching experience with high-level women's programs, most recently coaching teams at NYAC and Long Island Lady Riders. Wyant is also a former goalkeeper with the US women's national team.
Amy Marron serves as assistant coach, working closely with Coach Wyant. Marron is currently an assistant coach with the St John's University women's soccer team, and a former international pro player.
Home games will be played at the Aviator Sports Complex soccer stadium, in Brooklyn, NY. The team trains weekly in Brooklyn and/or Manhattan.
